Grant Funded Counseling Programs for Rowlett Senior Citizens
55+ (individual or family)
10-12 counseling sessions
Small co-pay from $0 - $15 (will be assessed at intake)
Services provided through Counseling Institute of Texas (CIT)
Services are good from October 1, 2022 through September 30, 2023
CIT will conduct the intake, provide the counseling and City of Rowlett will process the billing; $60,000 set aside. Arrangements were requested and set up by SCOR.
Counseling: depression, financial, caregiving issues, multi-generational families, isolation, any mental health challenges. (CIT will not diagnosis, no Medicaid, no court issues). Client will be charged for a “no show” but not charged to the funding program.
Walk-in registration is available at the Rowlett Community Centre on Monday through Friday from 6:00 AM to 9:00 PM, on Saturday from 8:00 AM to 9:00 PM and Sunday from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. The Centre is located at 5300 Main Street.

The Rowlett Recreation Division has a satisfaction-guaranteed policy for programs and services. If a patron or guest is unhappy, we will do our best to resolve the situation to the customer’s satisfaction.
RCC staff and management will work to ensure your satisfaction in our programs and events. Management reserves the right to review all requests for refunds. Refunds are not granted for changes in personal schedule after a class or program has begun. RCC staff are empowered to make the necessary decisions to address customer care needs.
