To better serve the needs of our customers, beginning September 29 Neighborhood Planning is open 8:00 a.m.- 6:00 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and is closed on Friday.

Our Why

Formerly known as Neighborhood Life, Neighborhood Planning is a new program that was created in late 2020 to integrate the established short-term neighborhood programming into long range urban planning.  

Our Mission

To strengthen neighborhood livability and increase community cohesion through the proactive management of Rowlett’s housing stock, culture, and history. We exist to promote sustained human flourishing, environmental and economic resiliency through innovative urban planning, intentional programming, and productive fun for all.

What to expect from this new program:

  • Creation and management of neighborhood programming
  • Community outreach and fun events 
  • Comprehensive Plan and Code updates 
  • Housing studies and Small-Area analysis
