Residential Recycle Collection
FCC collects recycling material once per week on the same day as your trash collection. Please have your recycling poly cart out by 7:00 am on your trash collection day. For more information on recycling in Rowlett, contact FCC.
Acceptable Items for Recycling
- Metal and aluminum cans - metal food and beverage cans composed of tin, steel or aluminum are acceptable
- Plastic and glass - Soft drink liter bottles and milk jugs are acceptable, as are clear, brown, blue and green glass bottles and jars
- Dry newspapers, magazines and catalogs
- Other paper items - mail, envelopes, telephone books, chipboard, cereal boxes and paper bags
- Slick or glossy newspaper inserts
Unacceptable Items for Recycling
- Aluminum foil
- Diapers
- Large plastic buckets
- Glass (light bulbs, mirrors, windows/windshields)
- Scrap metal and metal other than food and beverage cans
- Foam Packaging
- Ceramics or dishes
- Plastic grocery bags

General Computer Recycling Information
As of 2008, state law requires manufacturers that sell computer equipment in Texas to offer consumers free and convenient recycling of their brands of equipment, including laptops, desktops, monitors, keyboards, and mice.
