FCC Trash and Recycle Collection Schedule Due to inclement weather this week, FCC was unable to safely complete Wednesday routes and canceled operations on Thursday. FCC resumed normal operations today and will run a full day tomorrow (Saturday, 2/26).
FCC will collect the remainder of Wednesday’s route and begin Thursday's today (Friday). We anticipate FCC will finish Thursday’s route and begin Friday's tomorrow (Saturday). If today (Friday) is your normal trash day, please place your carts out tomorrow (Saturday) morning and leave them out until the contents are collected. We will update next weeks schedule as FCC progresses through the initial delays.

Arbor Day Foundation Designates Rowlett a Tree City USA for the 18th Year in a Row! The Tree City USA program has been greening up cities and towns across America since 1976. It is a nationwide movement that provides the framework necessary for communities to manage and expand their public trees. More than 3,600 communities have made the commitment to becoming a Tree City USA. The City of Rowlett has achieved Tree City USA status by meeting four core standards of sound urban forestry management: maintaining a tree board or department, having a community tree ordinance, spending at least $2 per capita on urban forestry and celebrating Arbor Day. - Cooler temperatures.
- Cleaner air.
- Higher property values.
- Healthier residents.
The benefits trees bring to urban environments are endless — and by earning Tree City USA designation, our community can experience them firsthand. Congratulations and a big THANK YOU to the City of Rowlett Parks and Recreation department for their ongoing dedication to maintaining the natural beauty of our community and enhancing our quality of life!
