North Texas Municipal Water District The NTMWD Annual System Maintenance runs March 1-29. During this time, the NTMWD temporarily changes the disinfectant in the water treatment process. The annual, routine change is necessary to maintain the regional system and year round water quality, however the absence of ammonia during these few weeks may make the chlorine disinfectant more noticeable. There are simple steps to minimize taste, odor or skin sensitivities, including placing a pitcher of water in the refrigerator overnight or adding a slice of citrus to the water. Adding a crushed 1000 mg Vitamin C tablet to bath water will remove the chlorine. More info…

Dalrock Road “Curves” FAQThere are two curves on Dalrock Road between Princeton and Liberty Grove that have become a focus for the City due to the number of crashes which have occurred. On the Dalrock south curve alone, sixteen crashes happened between 2016-2020. Eleven of these caused property damage to residential fences at five different homes. The cause of these crashes is mainly due to driver inattentiveness and speeding. The City is working on several mitigation measures and has developed an FAQ on Rowlett.com to provide residents information and updates. More info…
