National Public Safety Telecommunicator Week

As in most communities across the nation, the Rowlett Police Department’s Communication Officers are the voice of 9-1-1. They are the first public safety officials a citizen speaks to in a moment of crisis. And this week we celebrated their contributions to our community!

Communication Officers are highly trained specialists capable of quickly and efficiently getting a citizen the necessary police, fire or medical assistance. Our dedicated Communication Officers work behind the scenes and are a critical part of the Police and Fire teams. They are on duty 24-hours a day, seven days a week, 365 days a year, providing rapid access to Police and Fire services, as well as calm, reassuring voices to citizens in distress.

City of Rowlett first responders and our community’s residents, businesses, and guests are very fortunate to be served by such professionals!
