RPD Receives New Equipment The police department has created a team to review procedures, training, and equipment for active shooter response. One of the team’s initial recommendations was to add easily portable mechanical breaching equipment to all patrol vehicles. The Rowlett Police Officers Association (RPOA) has offered to purchase pry bars and sledgehammers to outfit each vehicle. This is just another example of the incredible work being done by the association to benefit the citizens of Rowlett.
