Fireworks Illegal in the City of Rowlett Just a gentle reminder that in Rowlett, it is illegal to possess or use fireworks. In addition to being a problem for families with young children and pets, veterans, and constituting a fire hazard, they are also against the law. Please do not call 911 if you see someone shooting off fireworks in your neighborhood. We need to keep the 911 lines open for emergencies. If you need to report fireworks in the area, call the non-emergency number, 972-412-6200, option 1 for dispatch.
