Is THIS a Code Violation?

Parking a vehicle on an unimproved surface, like grass, is a violation of the Rowlett Code of Ordinances, Chapter 22-263.
• All motorized vehicles shall be parked on a concrete surface.
• All vehicles shall be parked on a required surface at least three feet from the rear property line, provided that vehicles on corner lots shall not be stored on any side of the lot adjacent to a street.

Why? Parking a motorized vehicle on the grass can:
• Pose a fire hazard
• Pose a health risk due to mosquitos breeding in standing water of ruts
• Pose a threat to the environment from fluid leaks such as oil or gasoline
• Ruins neighborhood appeal
More info or to submit a request concerning a potential code violation…
