New City of Rowlett Hours- Effective September 29, 2022

Hours at City of Rowlett offices and some facilities will change beginning September 29, 2022. As a service organization, adapting to the needs of our customers is paramount. The longer hours will enhance in-person service opportunities for residents who may experience challenges with the traditional 5:00 p.m. closing time. This strategic shift also provides the City a competitive edge to recruit and retain the best and brightest employees in a highly competitive job market.

National Night Out Logo that says "NNO National Night Out 2022" With an eagle and stars

National Night Out in Rowlett is Monday, October 3

The Rowlett Police Department invites you and your neighborhood to participate in National Night Out!  Residents throughout the community are encouraged to turn on the porch light, lock the door and gather with neighbors to show unity against criminal activity. Many neighborhoods plan special events such as block parties and cookouts. If yours is one of those, the Rowlett Police, Fire, Parks & Recreation, and Public Works Departments would love the opportunity to drop in and visit with everyone. They can bring the SWAT vehicle, squad cars, fire engines, large construction vehicles and more for kids (and adults!) to climb on, into and enjoy. Members of the City Council and City staff will also be dropping in on all the celebrations. More info…

Code Red Continues at the Animal Shelter

Come Meet Frank!

Breed: American Bulldog Mix
Age: 4 Years
Gender: Male
Color: Brown/White
Neutered: Yes

This guy really enjoys his pup cup!  Frank is a big boy, but don’t let his size fool you because he wants to be a lap dog. He is healthy, fully vetted, microchipped and negative for heartworms. Frank is learning his manners and doing quite well. He still doesn’t like being in his kennel, however one of our amazing volunteers takes him home frequently and works with him. Frank is such a big love bug, dog friendly and is ready to find a permanent lap to curl up in. If you would like to meet Frank, or any of the other adoptable animals, please contact Animal Services at 972 412-6219.  Animal Services does require a meet and greet when adopting a dog when other dogs are in the household.
See all of the available pets on the City of Rowlett Animal Services Facebook page…
