Arts and Humanities Commission FY2023 Cultural Arts Grant The Arts and Humanities Commission awards small grants to support the activities of Rowlett based cultural arts groups. Grants and award amounts are subject to the availability of funds.
The Arts in Education Grant is sponsored by the Rowlett Arts and Humanities Commission. Mini “Arts in Education” grants are available to public and private schools within the city limits of Rowlett. Applications are currently being accepted. To apply for the grant, fill out and print the online application, obtain the necessary signatures, and mail or deliver the application. The applications are due on Friday, January 20, 2023, by 5:00 p.m. Please no email submissions.
During the month of November, patrons may donate non-perishable food items to waive fines off their accounts. For each package of food donated, the Library will take $1 off patron fines. This only applies to fines for late materials; it does not apply to fees from lost or damaged materials. Collected items will be donated to local food pantries.
All ages can participate in the Winter Reading Program from November 21 to December 31. Participants will earn prizes for reading and get the opportunity to enter raffle tickets for a grand prize Family Basket. Reading logs can be collected at the reference desk.
