For children of all ages who can actively engage. This interactive storytime with books, music, and movement is a high engagement storytime that instills the love of literacy and the Library at an early age. Caregivers also learn valuable information on how to continue building literacy at home. While all ages are welcome, we will focus on pre-literacy skills. Wednesday and Thursday are a repeat of Tuesday’s program.
The group will discuss The Book of Lost Names by Kristin Harmel (Historical Fiction). Next month’s book will be The Color of Water: A Black Man’s Tribute to His White Mother by James McBride (Memoir).
On July 6, teens are challenged to survive a special Whatever on Wednesday SURVIVOR: TEEN EDITION! We will be playing a game of SURVIVOR and learning how to make a simple water filtration system. Then, on July 20, let’s explore the ocean and its secret monsters in the Legends of the Deep! WOW is free for ages 13 to 18.
