Who mows the City’s property?
The Parks Department oversees all of the mowing in the City. You may contact the Parks Department at 972-412-6145 for more information.
4.
What should I know about high water covering streets or alleys?
The Street Department provides barricades for high water and as requested by the Police Department. If you are not sure about the depth of the water at any location, do not drive through it.
5.
How do I report debris in the street or alley?
Contact the Citizen Action Center at 972-463-CITY (2489) and crews will be dispatched to remove the debris.
6.
Does the Street Department sweep the residential streets?
No. The City has a contractor who sweeps only the arterial streets bimonthly.
7.
Will the City of Rowlett sand my street during icy weather?
We do not sand residential streets. The Street Department's first priority is to sand bridges, major intersections and steep inclines on arterial streets. The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is responsible for sanding the bridges along Lakeview Parkway (SH 66).
